Job Title: Relief Retail Security Officer
Reports To: Security Supervisor / Operations Manager
Location: Various retail locations across the UK
Contract Type: Relief / Casual / Part-Time
Pay Rate: Age dependant
Hours: Flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and bank holidays

About the Role

We are currently seeking a vigilant and reliable Relief Retail Security Officer to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will support multiple retail sites on a flexible basis, providing a visible and reassuring presence to help prevent theft and ensure the safety of staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol retail premises and monitor CCTV activity.
• Prevent and respond to theft, vandalism, and other incidents.
• Provide a visible deterrent to criminal activity.
• Engage with customers and staff professionally and courteously.
• Complete incident and shift reports accurately and promptly.
• Work across multiple store locations, covering holidays, sickness, and periods of increased demand.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, customers, and visitors.
• Liaise with store management and emergency services when required.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous retail security experience is preferred but not essential.

Essential Requirements

• Valid SIA Licence (Essential).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must be aged 18 years or over.
• Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to travel between sites as required.

Desirable Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail security.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to transport.
• First Aid qualification.
• Experience using CCTV and incident reporting systems.
